BioTE® Hormone Replacement Therapy

Studies have shown, balanced hormones are necessary for good health and disease prevention for both women and men as we age. We begin to see a decline in our hormone levels during our mid-20s, and by our mid-30s the symptoms of hormonal imbalance are usually evident. These symptoms only get worse as we age, and the increasing hormonal imbalance can contribute to many health issues. When balanced properly, hormones play a bigger role in how our body functions than we might expect, especially when it comes to our mood, heart rate, appetite, metabolism, sleep quality, stress management, energy and sex drive. IVme is a trusted, trained and certified BioTE Hormone Pellet Therapy provider that can help.

What is BioTE®

BioTE Medical provides bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) via pellets to help solve hormone imbalances in both women and men. The BioTE Medical pellets are made to replicate the hormones men and women lose as they age and contain bioidentical testosterone or estrogen. Each BioTE® hormone treatment program is tailored to the unique needs of each patient. The pellets are placed subcutaneously in the body and release a continuous stream of bioidentical hormones, helping to avoid the roller-coaster affect sometimes experienced with other hormone treatments. There have been more than a million BioTE pellet insertions in the United States.

The Treatment Process

Pellet insertion takes only a few minutes in our office, but it’s important to first determine if BioTE BHRT is right for you.

1. Get your current hormone levels tested with a comprehensive blood panel in our office.

2. Based on the results of your tests, we will let you know whether or not you are a candidate for BioTE® pellet therapy.

3. If you are a candidate for the therapy, we will schedule an appointment for our pellet insertion procedure.

4. The BioTE® pellet is administered through a small incision most commonly on your upper buttocks then covered with a bandage.

5. For the next few days following the procedure, you will be advised to limit, avoid, and even eliminate certain physical activities.
