Procedure Steps and More Information

Initial hormone testing involves a blood test to measure levels of hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, and thyroid hormones. This test provides valuable insights into your hormone levels and helps our healthcare providers determine if Biote hormone replacement therapy is right for you.

If your hormone test indicates that you may be a candidate for Biote hormone replacement therapy, our office will contact you to schedule a consultation with our Biote Certified Healthcare Provider. During this appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your symptoms, medical history, and health goals in detail. Your Provider will then develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

If, during the consultation, you and your Healthcare Provider decide that Biote hormone therapy is the right option for you, we will proceed with a pellet insertion procedure. The procedure involves implanting small pellets containing bioidentical hormones under the skin, typically in the hip area. The pellets gradually release hormones into the bloodstream over time, providing consistent hormone replacement therapy. The procedure typically occurs during the same appointment as the consultation but may be scheduled at a later date that’s convenient for you.

After the pellet insertion procedure, we will schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress, assess hormone levels, and adjust your treatment plan as needed. These appointments are essential for ensuring the effectiveness and safety of your hormone therapy.

Biote hormone therapy is typically an ongoing treatment, and you may require periodic pellet insertions to maintain optimal hormone levels. Our healthcare providers will work closely with you to develop a long-term management plan and provide support and guidance throughout your hormone therapy journey. We’re here to help you achieve your health and wellness goals every step of the way.
